Honey……. Please!

Honey, I don’t know about you, but when I am in a season of suffering, my confidence in myself, can become a bit questionable. Suffering has a way of creeping it’s way into the depths of my insecurities, fears, and weaknesses.
Challenging seasons are just not that encouraging; I don’t necessarily, always feel strong, beautiful, virtuous, or as if I was created for such a time as this! Though my identity in Christ can never be shaken, it can most definitely become distorted by trials, tribulations, persecutions, lies, and weariness. I don’t find myself always feeling like Rainbow Bright, sometimes I feel more like, Negative Nancy, depleting myself from upbeat, positive, affirming words, that gives life, and a feeling of purpose. I don’t know……. Is it just me?
King Solomon tells us that GRACIOUS WORDS ARE LIKE A HONEYCOMB (Prov.16:24). In the Bible, a honeycomb symbolizes ABUNDANCE and WISDOM (Ex.3:7-8). God brought the Israelites to the land of milk and HONEY. GOD also said that WISDOM is sweet like HONEY (Prov. 4:13). Positive, affirming words, has the power to pour life into us, just as it has the power to pour death into us. When we speak positive words, that brings forth life, we begin to feel alive, refreshed, full of WISDOM and ABUNDANT love. GOD’S LOVE. We are created in God’s image, therefore, we sin against God, when we fail to see ourselves as He has created for us to be.
HONEY, I know, you are tired and overwhelmed. It feels as if the weight of the world, is sitting on your shoulders. You are doing YOUR BEST to carry your own cross, but, to be honest……….HONEY, IT’S HEAVY! You look around to your left, and to your right……….. NO ONE. You tell yourself that you are unworthy, unimportant, unseen, too tired, ugly, fat, not good enough……… SHALL I GO ON? The words that you speak over yourself, is not necessarily how your spirit feels, but more of how your flesh feels. HONEY……….. PLEASE! I’m here to tell YOU, that you are an overcomer. YOU are beautiful, and full of virtue. YOU are loved, seen and qualified. I know that there a moments that you feel alone, but God will NEVER leave YOU, nor, forsake YOU. I want to encourage you to begin today, to start speaking life over YOURSELF. It’s what YOU say to YOURSELF, that truly matters. Fake it until you make it! Even if you don’t believe for those words to be true now, the more that you speak them, the closer your are to believing them. HONEY…….. PLEASE!
