In God We Trust
TRUST IN GOD. If I were to be transparent when it comes to my life, I would admit to trusting in myself, circumstances, insecurities, fears and other people, more than I have trusted in God. Many times, I have accepted “what is seen”, over “what is unseen”, more than I can count. This lack of faith in my father, has led me into some very uncomfortable circumstances and relationships, that birthed much pain, delays and an increase of fear. Have you found yourself lacking faith such as I have? Have you spent countless nights in tears because of your lack of TRUST IN GOD? Anxiety. Depression. Have you also struggled with the invasion of spiritual, mental and emotional attacks, from the lion who roams around, seeking who he can devour? If I can offer you one word of advice..........TRUST IN GOD.
The Bible is full of historical stories of people who failed to TRUST IN GOD. Eve failed to TRUST IN GOD which led into her believing the lies of the serpent. Sarah failed to TRUST IN GOD when He told her that she would birth a child in her older years of life. Job’s wife failed to TRUST IN GOD when they lost EVERYTHING, and she encouraged her husband to curse God. Last, but definitely not least, Lot’s wife failed to TRUST IN GOD when she disobeyed God’s commanded to “not” look back at Sodom, causing her to turn into a pillar of salt. What area(s) in your life, are YOU failing to TRUST IN GOD?
Sis, LIFE IS HARD. LIFE IS CONFUSING. LIFE IS SCARY. TRUST IN GOD, still. I get it, everything seems to be thrown at you all at once and TRUSTING IN GOD seems to bring forth nothing but delays. The lies of the enemy that he is strategically whispering softly in your ear, to abort God’s plans and timing, are starting to sound like bold truths and the only logical option at this point. Don’t allow for IMPATIENCE to distort the fact that the enemy has only one plan, which is to destroy you! YOU GOT THIS, and more imp, GOD GOT YOU! So, how about you place your trust in the ONLY true source, which is in the Highest God......
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)
